The use of latest information technologies has become a strategic necessity for companies in most industry branches, but just making the effort to acquire a certain software does not improve the competitive position of the organization.

Employees must adopt technological solutions proactively and productively, incorporating them into their daily work routines. This, ultimately, depends on how much value they perceive they can get from the new tools, in contrast to the effort required to learn to use them and assimilate to the changes that these are implying in their work.

In line with the strategic importance that Zetus assigns to productive processes, this article reports on first impressions gathered from workers in different departments and functions, but also from suppliers and clients, on the impact of the recently implemented ERP system on our company activities.

Briefly, the balance perceived as positive, and everyone welcomes the results obtained after deployment of the ERP system, which is generally understood as the deployment of a computer system that forced staff adoption of digital technologies and enabled improvement of some working routines and business practices.

Usually, water heating solutions based on the use of photovoltaic panels found on the market are limited to single-family homes.

Zetus developed a disruptive community photovoltaic water heating system, that wasn’t even covered by current regulation, so our Engineering filed the corresponding change request to the General Directorate of Industry (DGI) for approval.

This article describes characteristics and operation of this novel solution, also telling how the DGI granted Zetus its approval to install the system in our Madroños 29 project, once safety, efficacy, and efficiency of the solution were verified.

When water is used as cooling fluid in a refrigeration circuit, there is a certain risk that it ends up leaking and flooding it. In line with the perceived perversity of the universe stated by Murphy’s Laws, this is exactly what happened last summer to one of our clients, during the warmest month of the year.

This article describes the cleaning process applied by our team to solve the problem, effectively balancing the urgency of the repair due to the high external temperatures, and the quality guarantees that characterize all our repair actions.

Briefly, a miscible gas (R-407C), which is soluble with the oil existing inside the circuit, was injected to completely flood the system. It was sequentially circulated throughout the circuit and then recovered. With each repetition of the procedure, liquid level inside the circuit alternatively increases and decreases which leads to dialysis taking place. The whole loop was reiterated until the refrigerant gas was observed to return free of contamination.

After four days of intense work (and heat), the circuit was refilled with refrigerant gas and set back into operation, calling the mission completed. To our client’s satisfaction, rigorous start-up tests carried out by the original manufacturer of the repaired HVAC system, Mitsubishi Electric, were satisfactory.

Most people using email on a daily basis overlooks the complexity in such a system, which sometimes leads to the appearance of problems that are difficult to solve.

This article starts sharing with our users important details concerning configuration and operation of the main components making up our email system, aiming at an informed understanding of maintenance guidelines recommended later in the same post, for the sake of increasing efficiency and cybersecurity in our corporate email environment.

The proposed guidelines include frequent update of antivirus and spam filtering rules, and maintenance of users' mailboxes, keeping them clean and tidy.

Our small company arrived to the 3rd year after its creation with business results that fill the team with satisfaction. This article celebrates the achieved milestone with a chronicle of the social gathering last March 12 at the premises of one of our clients.
